FIFA World Cup 2010 Official Theme Song Video, Lirics, Mp3

“WAVIN FLAG”

When i get older, they’ll call me freedom
Just like a Waving Flag.

[Chorus]
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They’ll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes backBorn to a throne, stronger than Rome
but Violent prone, poor people zone,
But it’s my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam.
But out of the darkness, I came the farthest,
Among the hardest survival.
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Except no defeat, surrender retreat,So we struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we’ll be free,
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day,
It’s not far away, so for now we say[Chorus]

So many wars, settling scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way,
Love is the answer, that’s what they say,
But look how they treat us, Make us believers,
We fight their battles, then they deceive us,
Try to control us, they couldn’t hold us,
Cause we just move forward like Buffalo Soldiers.

But we struggling, fighting to eat,
And we wondering, when we’ll be free
So we patiently wait, for that faithful day,
It’s not far away, but for now we say,

[Chorus] 2x

(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And everybody will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And you and I will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And we all will be singing it
(Ohhh Ohh Ohh Ohh)

[Chorus] 2x

When I get older, when I get older
I will be stronger, just like a Waving Flag,
Just like a Waving Flag, just like a Waving flag
Flag, flag, Just like a Waving Flag

2010 World Cup France Team

France literally breezed into the international football scene, walking away with the FIFA World Cup in 1998, demolishing Brazil 3-0 in the finals to lift the cup. France has been one of the most popular teams after the 98 World Cup win, with Zinedine Zidane, Fabien Barthez and Didier Deschamps becoming some of the most popular footballers in the world. Booking a berth at the 2010 FIFA World Cup has also got Les Bleus the distinction of having made it to the World Cup finals for the fourth year in a row. At the 2006 World Cup, despite an unimpressive performance at the World Cup France came to just a step away from winning their second World Cup losing to Italy in a penalty shoot-out. Despite the retirement of the big-guns Zidane, Barthez and Deschamps, France still continues to churn out new and impressive players in the form of Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema, and Yoann Gourcuff.

France’s road to the World Cup just like the 2006 qualifiers was quite unimpressive, nevertheless, they satisfied the demands of their supporters by booking their ticket to South Africa. Les Bleus lost the first match 3-1 to Austria, but drew against group leaders Serbia and won against Faroe Islands and returned a favor winning 3-1 against Austria and finally edged out Ireland with an extra-time goal to secure their place in the World Cup finals.

With all the senior figures retired from international football, Thierry Henry has taken on the captain’s responsibilities, with William Gallas holding the defensive line. Jeremy Toulalan and Lassana Diarra have become a part of the midfield that used to be Zidane’s territory. Franck Ribery, Yoann Gourcuff and Nicolas Anelka will all be available up front to form the attack along with Thierry Henry.

Coach Raymond Domenech took the reins to the national team in 2004, he was criticized for his ineffectiveness due to the lackluster performance by France in the UEFA Euro Cup 2008. He has yet to win a major tournament with Les Bleus, though the team’s qualification for the World Cup is the highlight of his career and proof that France’s performance is headed upwards.

Les Bleus have appeared in 12 FIFA World Cup final tournaments, taking the cup home in 1998. They have also managed two third place finishes in 1958 and 1986.

2010 World Cup Uruguay Team

http://mt.educarchile.cl/MT/jjbrunner/archives/uruguay-flag_002.gif
The first ever nation to win the FIFA World Cup - Uruguay, will be making their 11th appearance at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. At one point in time, a football super power; La Celeste won the World Cup once, the Olympic Games twice and 16 Copa America titles. Led by Oscar Tabarez, popularly known as El Maestro, this young Uruguayan team is all set to go through the group stage into the knockout rounds for the first time in two decades.

Uruguay repeated their performance of the 2002 and 2004 qualifying rounds by coming in fifth in the ten-member qualifying group and were pitted against Costa Rica in the play-off. La Celeste won the first game by holding onto the 1-0 lead they gained from Captain Diego Lugano’s goal. In the second match they drew with the Costa Ricans booking their seat at the FIFA World Cup finals. Their goal tally of 28 was the third highest in the group enough for an automatic qualification, but a loss to Argentina at home put them in the spot having to go through with the play-off for their place at the FIFA World Cup 2010.

The Uruguayan side has a mixture of young talents as well as experienced stars. Captained by Diego Lugano, a centre-half who fulfills both the duties of a defender as well as a midfielder who scores every once in a while. Up front Athletico Madrid’s striker Diego Forlan along with Luis Suarez put up a fearsome strike, scoring 12 goals in the qualifiers among the two of them.

Oscar Washington Tabarez popularly called El Maestro at home, was the man behind the team that made it to the 1990 World Cup held at Italy. El Maestro who has been the most reliable and hard working coach for Uruguay has worked with some of the biggest clubs in the world, namely Penarol, Boca Juniors and AC Milan among others. He was back to coaching the Uruguayan national team in 2006 after a Jorge Fossati led Uruguay lost to Australia in a penalty shoot-out.

This World Cup, Uruguay will be looking to advance beyond the last 16, which they haven’t managed since 1970 and with all the adjustments to the team, they just might be able to make it.

2010 World Cup Mexico Team

One of the strongest teams in the Americas, Mexico has qualified for 13 World Cups, and been a regular at every World Cup finals tournament since 1994. Javier Aguirre the former Athletico Madrid Coach has finally bought some calming influence to the Mexican team, steadying them by putting together a team with promising young talents and experienced players to bring back the confidence into El Tri.

In the first two games, Mexico beat Belize without straining too hard, only to be drawn into a group with some really tough opposition. Mexico was clubbed along with Jamaica, Canada and Honduras. Coached by Sven Goran Eriksson the Mexican’s barely scraped through ahead of Jamaica on goal-difference. They began the six-team round-robin group with a 2-0 defeat to the USA. They proceeded to beat Costa Rica before being beaten by Honduras 3-1. Eriksson was immediately replaced by Aguirre, who worked his magic just as he had done on the road to the World Cup 2002.

El Vasco’s damage control brought the Mexican’s back on track beating USA 2-1 at the next outing. Mexico then proceeded to beat the rest of the teams in the 5-team strong group, earning their ticket to South Africa with one game left. A draw with Trinidad and Tobago put the El Tri on the second position in the group right under long-time rivals- the USA.

Veteran player Cuauhtemoc Blanco was called out of retirement by Aguirre to help the under-performing Mexican team. His presence seemed uplifting to the younger breed of players such as Guillermo Ochoa, Efrain Juarez, Andres Guardado and Giovani dos Santos. With help from Captain Rafael Marquez who holds the defensive line for Mexico, this team looks all geared up to take the World Cup by storm.

Javier Aguirre is the most popular as well as successful Mexican coach in recent times. It was almost as if everything he touched turned to gold, taking Pachuca to the league championship after which he was asked to revive the National team at the qualifiers for the World Cup 2002, taking them to the top spot in a group with eventual champions Italy, Croatia and Ecuador. He had a stint with Osasuna, taking them to the UEFA Champions League in 2005/06 before being handed the reins to Athletico Madrid, who he helped into the fourth place in 2007/08. He came back to help out a crisis-stricken national team through the qualifiers and is hoping to take them through to the final in the World Cup 2010.

Mexico has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 14 times and South Africa is their fifth consecutive appearance where they will be looking forward to clear the round of 16 in which they have been eliminated the last four times.

Waka Waka Time For Africa.mp3

Shakira : Waka Waka Lyrics

Oooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh

You're a good soldier
Choosing your battles
Pick yourself up
And dust yourself off
Get back in the saddle

You're on the front line
Everyone's watching
You know it's serious
We are getting closer
This isn't over

The pressure is on
You feel it
But you got it all
Believe it

When you fall get up, oh oh
If you fall get up, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
Cuz this is Africa
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
This time for Africa

Listen to your God
This is our motto
Your time to shine
Don't wait in line
Y vamos por todo

People are raising
Their expectations
Go on and feed them
This is your moment
No hesitations

Today's your day
I feel it
You paved the way
Beleive it

If you get down get up, oh oh
When you get down get up, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
This time for Africa
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa
Anawa a a
Tsamina mina, eh eh
Waka waka, eh eh

2010 World Cup South Africa Team

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX1rkhJ9jVg13kbDKZrq0COuDzaCFkGOf5_yTjTpcNUjarlzOo9pgPfP7_T8HHG1u_C5nUpnYDvkAc50l_a22GJF-6OnVD5tNP_Iyc0aWGxNf0qf10LiUMxMQu7pYMewBqOGzC8GX4Ne0/s400/South+Africa+flag.gif
South Africa have never really been a prominent team in the history of world football, but that’s all about to change with the commencement of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The South African National Football Team by virtue of the country’s role as hosts have been given a shot at stardom. However, this does not mean that the team does not deserve to compete in the world’s most anticipated sporting event. Their dauntless performances at the FIFA Confederations Cup last June have not gone unnoticed. The team almost managed to send Brazil packing in the semi-finals and posed as a sizeable threat to Spain’s win in the third place play-off. This goes to show that the South African team has its fair share of talent and when given the opportunity can explode in the face of the opposition. The fans of the team are peaking at the heights of optimism and believe that their team possesses what it takes to put up a gallant fight for the Cup. The other participating teams are not willing to take the South Africans too lightly and are very well aware of their on-field capabilities.

South Africa’s biggest claim to fame is their maiden win at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations trophy in 1996. They defeated Tunisia at Soccer City in Johannesburg to lift the Cup. This feat was pulled off four years after their readmission to international football. More than a decade from then, the South Africans will resurface at the same venue and will attempt to achieve what is seemingly impossible.

"We are all aware that it is a huge honour to play in a World Cup on home soil; not many players have had such a privilege. We are also aware of the task that lies ahead. For us, the World Cup is our priority, it's our biggest goal. We need to represent our country with pride," said Aaron Mokoena, South Africa’s Captain. The torch has been handed over to the present South African National Football Team’, can they capitalize or will they capsize into an ocean of defeat? That remains to be seen.
